New Hampshire U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander, D, along with Reps. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Washington, and Jen Kiggans, R-Virginia, recently introduced the Warrior Right to Repair Act of 2025, which would ensure that members of the U.S. military have the agency and material support they need to repair and maintain the equipment they rely on, according to a news release from the office of Gluesenkamp Perez.
U.S. servicemembers are often restricted in their ability to conduct repairs on their equipment, the release stated. The Warrior Right to Repair Act of 2025 would require the U.S. Department of Defense to only enter procurement contracts if the contractor agrees to provide fair and reasonable access to repair materials, including parts, tools and information sufficient to diagnose, maintain or repair the equipment.
