Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Maggie Goodlander, a Member of the House Small Business Committee, highlighted the devastating impact that President Trump’s proposed federal funding freeze would have on New Hampshire small businesses, their employees, and our communities. Goodlander also underscored the importance of holding corporate monopolies accountable.
“Over the last two weeks, one of the big sources of uncertainty for small businesses has been the threats of federal funding freezes, including following last week’s memorandum from the Office of Management and Budget, that have really called into question the availability of lawfully enacted federal funding that reaches our communities,” said Goodlander. “This isn’t abstract. I’m hearing from small businesses and nonprofit organizations, from mayors, police chiefs, and fire chiefs all across our communities who continue to face uncertainty in accessing the federal funding that is promised to the people of New Hampshire. The uncertainty this has caused for small businesses is just unacceptable.”
