Michelle from Henniker was diagnosed with a chronic form of leukemia 16 years ago. There is no cure, and it requires intensive treatments that make it so she cannot work and relies on Medicaid. In 2019, Jen from North Conway was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia; she lost her job and her insurance, her husband died in a car accident, and she was left with no income. Medicaid saved her life.
