MANCHESTER, N.H. — The New Hampshire congressional delegation is calling on the Trump administration to work with local veterans as it considers expanding Veterans Affairs services in the state.
President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order launching a feasibility study to expand the VA Medical Center in Manchester into a full-service hospital.
The federal delegation pressed the VA secretary on Thursday to follow through on the process and ensure veterans are part of the conversation.
“So as the administration conducts their review, it’s important to hear directly from veterans in New Hampshire, and work to figure out what makes the most sense,” said U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas.
New Hampshire is the only state in the lower 48 without a full-service VA hospital.
