goodlander statement on releasing the epstein files

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander released the following statement:

“For months and months, President Trump and the Speaker of the House have been blocking basic transparency and basic access to justice for victims of heinous crimes. That is not right. I served for years at the Department of Justice, and above all, the basic principle that guided us was that the rule of law applies to everyone. There’s not one rule for the rich and powerful and one rule for everyone else. No one is above the law. No politician is above the law, and no billionaire is above the law. That’s what this is all about, basic transparency and justice for victims of crime. That is why I voted yes to release the Epstein Files.”
