Washington, D.C. – In case you missed it, this week, during a House Small Business Committee hearing focused on expanding rural broadband, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander questioned experts about the impact of the Trump Administration’s recently announced changes to the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and the cost of delaying critical rural broadband funding across the country, including $191 million for New Hampshire.
“I’m working to deliver affordable, reliable internet access to every Granite Stater. That’s why, in the House Committee on Small Business, I asked expert witnesses about the impact of the Trump Administration’s decision to derail $191 million in federal funding promised to New Hampshire,” said Congresswoman Goodlander. “I won’t give up this fight.”
Congresswoman Goodlander has dedicated her life to serving New Hampshire and our country. Last month, she led a letter alongside New Hampshire’s federal delegation slamming the Trump Administration for its recently announced changes to the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program that would delay broadband expansion across rural New Hampshire. New Hampshire is awaiting $191 million in previously announced federal BEAD funding that may now be delayed by these changes.
