Claremont, N.H. — Last month, Representative Maggie Goodlander, a Member of the House Small Business Committee, toured locally owned small businesses across the state. In Berlin, she visited Exile Burrito. In Claremont, she visited Claremont Spice & Dry Goods, Putnam’s Colonial Florist, and Golden Anchor Quilting. In Nashua, she toured Pacific Defense. And, in Keene, she toured Nanotech Technologies. During the visits, Goodlander heard from owners and employees about their priorities and discussed their needs now and into the future. In Claremont, Goodlander was joined by Amy Bassett, New Hampshire District Director at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
“Small businesses are part of what makes New Hampshire such a wonderful place to live, work, and call home,” said Representative Goodlander. “It was great to meet with some of the incredible small business owners across our state to discuss their priorities and how we can best support them now and into the future. As a Member of the House Small Business Committee, I look forward to bringing the voices of our small businesses to Washington to deliver for our communities.”
“As a small New Hampshire business, we are proud to provide our community with beautiful hand-delivered flowers that spread happiness and joy throughout Claremont and its surrounding areas,” said Michelle Adams, owner of Putnam’s Colonial Florist. “We are focused on building high-quality relationships in all the services we provide to our customers.”
“We are called Golden Anchor Quilting because my Mom always told me to tie my dreams to a magical golden anchor with an unbreakable golden thread, throw it into the future, and know I would get there someday,” said Louisa Ferland, owner of Golden Anchor Quilting. “Leading this beautiful creative community is a dream come true for us! Come see us at Golden Anchor Quilting, where community is the fabric of our dreams!”
Representative Goodlander has dedicated her life to serving New Hampshire and our country and is fighting every day to ensure every Granite Stater gets a fair deal. Before taking the oath of office to represent New Hampshire in the People’s House, she served in the U.S. Department of Justice where she took on corporate monopolies as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General, committed to the idea that no corporation is above the law.
